History
The Arrowhead Robotics Team was founded in 2001, originally under the name APE Robotics (Arrowhead Price Engineering robotics). In 2003 Arrowhead Robotics changed its name to the Cyberhawks.
Over the years, the team has been very successful and achieved various awards, which include: multiple appearances at the regional and world championships, the Motorola Quality Award, The Xerox Creativity Award, the General Motors Industrial Design Award, the Rockwell Automation Innovation in Control Award, and the FIRST Dean’s List Finalist Award. Not only has the team proved worthy of these recognized awards, but is also constantly striving to reach out into the community and do their part.
Sub-teams
Our team is made up of three main sub-teams: Build, Programming and Business. Each sub-team works together and continuously communicates to prepare the team for FIRST Robotics Competition in spring.
Programming Team
Programming team programs code and wires the robot.
During the pre-season, programming members learn how to program using Java.
During the build season, programmers get hands-on coding experience working on the competition robot. The members also learn how to solder and wire when preparing the robot wiring before competitions.
Mechanical Team
Mechanical team members focus on the design and construction of the competition robot.
Mechanical members learn how to use Inventor and CAD to design and create professional-level drawings that are sent to a local manufacturing company to be produced. The members also learn how to operate tools in the shop through hands-on experience.
Business Team
The Business team manages the team finances, contacts sponsors, and maintains the team's written documents.
Business team members learn to keep track of income, expenses, and develop written and verbal communication skills. They reach out to sponsors and complete the written documents for submission for the Impact Award.
Our Mentors
We have fantastic mentors who provide us with assistance training and supervision. We benefit tremendously from their knowledge and experience and also the time and opportunity for us to lead our own team and build our own robot.

Come to our meetings!
Our general meetings take place during the school year every Tuesday from 5:15 to 8:00. We meet at Arrowhead High School, South Campus Room 803. For information on competition meeting times, please contact us.
